Ever since Friedrich Nietzsche called it ‘the rubbishest bit of my dinner’ in his book Also Sprach Zarathustra, the lowly cabbage has been suffering something of an identity crisis.

But why? Is it because cabbages are disgusting to eat? Well, yes, partly – but it’s also because cabbages aren’t considered to be ‘cool’ vegetables. That’s why We Love Vegetables has teamed up with the British Cabbage Council to launch a new initiative to show just how cool cabbages can be. And, with that in mind, we’d like to introduce you to…

MC KABBA G!

“Yo yo yo! I’m MC Kabba G and I’m here to say/
I eat cabbage every day/
Yes, technically that makes me a cannibal/
That’s because I didn’t think this conceit out in full!”*

LOOK! MC KABBA G IS STREETWISE!

Cabbages are cool! So what are you waiting for? Do what MC Kabba G says and buy a cabbage right now! Obviously don’t eat it afterwards. Just because they’re cool doesn’t mean they’re not disgusting.
